At Kindy Kollege Mt Druitt we are a team of educators who aim to provide a safe, nurturing, caring environment. Our educators are caring and considerate in the want to educate and guide the children that we care for in a pedagogical and ethical way. We believe through advocating the right of each child to be cared for, respected for who they are and also the right to be educated. We educators at Kindy Kollege Mt Druitt regard this as vital.

CHILD

We encourage each child’s uniqueness and individuality as they are allowed to explore and discover the learning environment that surrounds them.  The children are given experiences and opportunities with both their educators and peers to learn through play and be exposed and grow in their own holistic development while feeling safe and secure to grow. We believe each child is special in their own way and should be given the opportunity to shine.

PROGRAMMING

We aim to have a warm friendly and engaging environment which children wish to learn, discover and engage in as they share and expand their interest through play and guided experiences.  The children are encouraged to guide their own learning with the support and assistance of our educators alongside them.  We strive at Kindy Kollege Mt Druitt to have stable, equal and respectful relationships with all the children and families that attend our service encouraging all to have a sense of belonging within our service’s community and to be an active participant in their world.

   

COMMUNITY

At Kindy Kollege Mt Druitt we aim to continually involve and have all at the service exposed to their local community and we work and expand our cultural connections through open door policy, open and constant communication with our families and local community groups.  By engaging and expanding these connections we are developing the children’s understanding of community and their sense of belonging to something bigger than just themselves.

FAMILIES

As Educators in a long day care setting, we are aware that we are not the parents but are important members of the community in which these children belong.  We create partnerships and respectful relationships with our children and families that are part of our service.  We do this through respectful and open communication, We are able to create and form a family environment in which the children can grow, develop and be nurtured to be their unique individual selves to the truest form of the best they can be.
